Hello world. This is my first blog post on this site. I'm so excited!!!!!!

My name is Nicole and I love innovative fashion. I also love finance & technology. If you are on this website, you probably could guess that I invented the Banklet. It started back sometime in 2023 in a small apartment in Franklin, Massachusetts. More on that later. I want to talk about my sewing journey!!! 

I have been lucky to be skilled in the trade of sewing for a very long time. Shout out to my mom! I learned how to first use a sewing machine to hem jeans. That could be relatable for some of you... Before that I had hand sewn quite a bit as well, creating mini stuff animals using the fabric I cut from old worn old clothes and dismembered stuffed animals.

I was huge into Webkinz as a kid. When the end of my obsession with Webkinz inevitably fizzed out, I remember cutting a small piece of fur from each of my Webkinz and hand sewing them onto a beanie cap I made with, again, an old worn out piece of clothing. Unfortunately this will only remain a memory because my horrified (valid) mother disposed of this concerning creation before I could snag a photo. Was this weird? I think from a parental standpoint probably. I guess it could line up with the kid who rips heads off barbies. 

Other more normal sewing projects include taking a bright orange skirt and cutting it and sewing it back up into a tank top with a matching headband. Featured is a photo of my mom, sister and I. I was 12 in this picture and I remember thinking it was the absolutely worst photo of me. Looking back now all I see is a kid trying to be as creative as she could be with the tools she was given. I can confirm young Nicole would thinking 27 year old Nicole is the coolest chick ever.
